Hazegazer Hackathon 2022 on air, water, and soil pollution in Mongolia

The Hazegazer II Hackathon is organized with support from UNDP and UNICEF and will be centered around air, water, and soil pollution. The Hackathon will be held between 17th-18th September 2022 in Ulaanbaatar (exact venue to be confirmed).

During the Hackathon, participants are welcomed to present their research papers to their peer students and professors.

Abstracts and full papers should be focused on one of these topics (all related to Ulaanbaatar/Mongolia):

  • Air pollution, water and soil management, policy and legislation;
  • Assessing, monitoring, modelling and forecasting of air, soil, water pollution;
  • Wastewater management;
  • Freshwater quality;
  • Health risk studies of air, water, and soil pollution;
  • Agricultural contamination;
  • Industrial pollution;
  • Water reuse;
  • Socio-economic-political causes and consequences of air, water, or soil pollution;
  • Changes in land use;
  • Urban water and sustainable urban drainage systems
  • Case Studies on air, water, or soil pollution.
 

The best 3 research papers will be rewarded as follows: 1 mil MNT for first prize, 500,000 for 2nd and 300,000 for third prize.
